Helping teens manage big or overwhelming emotions starts with building a strong therapeutic relationship and creating a safe and nurturing environment where the kid can feel listened to and understood. Through play therapy, kids are able to express their emotions and learn how to manage them in a healthy way.
I help clients learn essential skills to become self-sufficient & well-adjusted individuals in an unpredictable world. Areas that I help my clients improve upon are emotion regulation, communication, grief & loss, trauma, depression, & anxiety.

If you are an adult struggling to overcome life’s struggles, look no further. Life can be hard!
Many times throughout life we face uncertainties about the path we have set out on and the day to day life that we live. I offer collaborative strategies to explore emotions and to develop coping skills and tools to move forward in a way that creates more self compassion and self awareness.
My goal is to provide a space where you can feel understood, supported, & empowered.
We offer individual counseling sessions for adults and children who are dealing with various personal issues, such as anxiety, depression, and trauma.

A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) is a written estimate of expected charges for non-emergency health care services, required under the federal No Surprises Act. It helps clients understand anticipated costs before services are provided and outlines their right to dispute certain charges.
For more information, visit: www.cms.gov/nosurprises
Texas HB 1314 (effective September 1, 2025) strengthens price transparency and billing-dispute protections in Texas by requiring clearer written cost estimates and dispute information for applicable health care services. While HB 1314 primarily applies to health care facilities, its intent aligns with the GFE requirements followed by Licensed Profession Counselor (LPC) in private practice.
Madeline V. Gardiner/Thrive Life Counseling, LLC provides Good Faith Estimates to support transparency, informed consent, and compliance with both federal and Texas pricing standards.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) explaining the expected cost of your counseling services. You may request a written Good Faith Estimate for non-emergency therapy services before scheduling or at least one (1) business day prior to your appointment. The estimate will outline the total expected cost of services. If you receive a bill that is $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges. Please retain a copy of your Good Faith Estimate for your records. Good Faith Estimates are provided as part of all client’s intake and informed consent processing.
